PING G400 Hybrid

An ideal option when gapping your set for mid-to-long distance shots, the G400 hybrids combine maraging steel faces with CG optimization to deliver more distance and forgiveness. Hotter ball speeds launch shots higher and farther, allowing you to stop the ball quickly on the green.

Features

Maraging Steel Face

Thinner and far more flexible, the innovative maraging steel face generates more ball speed and greater distance.

Thinest Crown

The 17-4 SS crown is cast ultra-thin for weight savings to optimize the CG location and increase total MOI (high-low, heel-toe) for full-face forgiveness. Crown turbulators and the groove pattern frame the ball for a captured look.

Machined Back Weight

The machined back weight was made far more dense to increase total MOI for extreme forgiveness with maximum stability while enabling you to customize your swing weight.

Reduced Spin

The face is textured to reduce spin, and the head’s cascading sole increases face flexing for higher launch.

Alta J CB Shaft

PING’s proprietary counter-balance design allows for more mass in the head to increase energy transfer. Color-Shift Paint Technology means the vibrant copper shaft paint transitions to nearly black as you address the ball to eliminate distraction.

PING offers a variety of graphite shafts to optimize your ball flight for the best possible feel and performance. PING’s proprietary shafts are engineered to complement our head designs so that you can optimize your trajectories for predictable results.

Generally, the same shaft flex as your irons in graphite will produce the optimal trajectory in hybrids, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type and/or flex in their hybrids.

We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.

PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.

PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
