PING G Le Driver

Standing on the tee, a player wants to know she doesn’t have to swing extra hard to launch the ball far and straight down the fairway. The new lightweight G Le driver is well-equipped with game-improvement technology, custom-engineered to maximize results from women’s swing speeds for consistently better drives.

Overview

The G Le driver head is made lighter, faster and extremely forgiving by Dragonfly Technology, Vortec Technology and crown turbulators, supported by a thin face that increases ball speeds for added distance.

The variable-thickness T9S face has a high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a thin face to maximize ball speed. Crown turbulators and Vortec Technology improve the clubhead’s aerodynamics and help reduce drag at impact, allowing for greater clubhead speed and ball velocity.

To fine-tune your launch conditions in the 460cc head, you adjust the loft up to +-1º utilizing a lightweight, aerodynamic, high-strength 7075 aluminum hosel sleeve.

To get the most distance from your driver, you must optimize the launch angle and spin rate of the ball by selecting the proper loft and shaft flex for your swing speed. Generally, golfers with slower swing speeds require more-lofted drivers and more-flexible shafts to achieve the proper launch conditions. Conversely, golfers with faster swing speeds generally require lower-lofted drivers and firmer shafts. We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.
GRIP COLOR CODE DESCRIPTION
Navy 5L Color code 33 The Navy 5L grip fits comfortably in the palms and fingers and offers a lighter, softer compound to deliver an assured feel throughout the swing. The grip markings and end cap are mint-colored to coordinate with the G Le Series.
PING 5L  color code 22 The 5L grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. It is available in two versions – round for clubs with PING’s Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.
PING 5L Cord5L-round-cord  color code 11 The 5L cord grip features a firmer texture in the upper portion to help control direction and a softer texture in the lower portion for enhanced feel. Cord construction provides an extra-secure grip in all conditions. It is available in two versions – round for clubs with PING’s Trajectory Tuning+ Technology, and ribbed for the hybrids and irons.
PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight. PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
