PING G425 Irons

The metal-wood-style, variable-thickness face and internal geometry increase ball speed and flexing for launching shots higher and farther with stopping power to hold greens. Expanded perimeter weighting in this smaller head design sets a new standard in forgiveness for an iron its size. Available in 4-9, PW, UW, SW, LW.

TECHNOLOGY

Perimeter Weighting

A tungsten toe screw and hosel weight expand the perimeter weighting to create a new standard in forgiveness for an iron its size. The resilient hydropearl chrome finish repels moisture to improve performance from wet conditions.

Speed-Generating Face

A variable-thickness, Hyper 17-4 stainless steel face in the metal-wood-style design delivers our fastest ball speed ever in the G-Series for generating higher, longer results with stopping power.

Stopping Power

A patented cascading sole and top-rail undercut combine to perform like a hinge, flexing to launch the ball faster and higher with green-holding precision consistently and predictably.

Streamlined Look

Its blade length is shorter than the G410 iron but the head has a higher MOI, and the clean, compact design presents an eye-pleasing address view that inspires confidence.

Multi-Material Badge

Extensive finite element analysis was used to develop a three-piece, multi-material cavity badge that covers more of the face to damp undesirable frequencies for superb feel and sound.

Stock Shaft

In the PING AWT 2.0 steel shaft, lighter long-iron shafts help square the clubface; short iron/wedge shafts are heavier for trajectory control and feel. The PING Alta J CB Slate graphite option delivers high launch with stability and a consistent feel.

Smart Grips

Arccos Caddie Smart Grips are standard. An embedded sensor automatically records and analyzes every shot when paired with the Arccos Caddie app.

NOTES

  • Lie angle is based on Black Color Code at standard length.
  • Power Spec Loft is a fitting option for players looking to boost their iron distance or decrease spin to hit a desired trajectory window. The Power Spec is a custom-designed loft configuration that delivers a power boost in a calculated fashion without sacrificing the integrity of the club’s design.
  • Club bounce angles will vary slightly if ordered with non-standard loft specs.
  • Standard swingweights for graphite-shafted clubs are 1 to 2 points lighter than shown, depending on shaft flex.
  • Achievable swingweights depend on shaft, length and grip combinations.
  • These are design specifications that may vary due to manufacturing tolerances.
  • Available in left- and right-handed models.

PING offers a variety of shaft flexes in steel and graphite to meet your needs and preferences. Selecting the proper shaft flex for your swing will help you get the most distance and accuracy from every shot. Generally, players with faster swing speeds require stiffer shafts to keep the ball trajectory lower, while players with slower swing speeds will require more-flexible shafts to produce a higher ball trajectory.

The choice of steel or graphite shafts is usually based on preferences for weight and/or feel. Players seeking a lighter overall weight and/or a softer feel in their irons may prefer graphite shafts, while players who prefer a standard-weight club with a firmer feel may prefer steel shafts.

We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. Whether that’s a softer, lighter shaft with a higher launch or a heavier, stiffer shaft with a lower trajectory, a PING Certified Club Fitter can help you find the shaft that brings consistency to your game.

GRIP SIZE | COLOR CODE DESCRIPTION
Golf Pride 360 Tour Velvet The Golf Pride Tour Velvet features a state-of-the-art rubber-blend compound with a non-slip surface pattern for maximum playability and confidence. The scientifically designed plus-sign texture pulls moisture away from surface to allow for consistent traction.
Golf Pride 360 Tour Velvet Cord The Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord features a state-of-the-art rubber-blend compound with a non-slip surface pattern and embedded cotton twill fibers for maximum playability and confidence in all weather conditions. The scientifically designed plus-sign texture pulls moisture away from surface to allow for consistent traction.
Arccos Smart Grip The Arccos Caddie Smart Grip, available exclusively in the Golf Pride Lite 360 Tour Velvet, is standard on all G425 products. It is engineered with an embedded sensor to automatically record and analyze every shot during a round when paired with the Arccos Caddie app. Offered in four sizes: White (Std.), Gold (+1/32″), Aqua (-1/64″), and Red (-1/32″). See below for two ways to add Smart Sensors to your G425 clubs.

PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.

PING colour-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip colour code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
