PING G440 SFT Drivers
The G440 Straight Flight model offers slice correction utilizing an adjustable back weight that promotes a draw for longer, more accurate drives. The hotter face, lighter weight and longer shaft (46″) generate faster ball speed for big distance. A Free Hosel and Carbonfly Wrap crown save weight to create our lowest CG ever and increase forgiveness while contributing to a more muted, pleasing sound. Available in a new 9° option for faster swings.
TECHNOLOGY
Slice Correction
The 23-gram adjustable back weight has Draw (13-yard draw bias), and Draw+ (20-yard) positions to provide significant fade and slice correction and bring shots back into the fairway.
Free Hosel, Low CG
Weight removed from a section of the hosel is reallocated to help push mass lower to create our lowest CG ever, aligning it closer to the force line for more distance and fairway-finding forgiveness.
Pleasing Sound
A Carbonfly Wrap crown saves weight, which is reallocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.
Hotter, Thinner Face
A lower face height allows us to make the face thinner and hotter for more ball speed and consistency across the clubface, including the high heel region.
Trajectory Tuning 2.0
The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.
G440 High Launch (HL)
To help slower-swing-speed players generate speed, higher launch and distance, SFT HL drivers are engineered with a lighter back weight, ultra-light 46″ Fujikura Speeder NX shaft, and an IOMIC Sticky SL Aqua grip.
PING-Engineered Shafts
Counter-balanced Alta J CB Blue is lighter to help increase clubhead speed on a mid-high to high launch. Tour 2.0 Black is low launch and low spin, a good fit for higher swing speeds. Tour 2.0 Chrome delivers a low-mid to mid ball flight with control and precision.

To get the most distance from your driver, you must optimize the launch angle and spin rate of the ball by selecting the proper loft and shaft flex for your swing speed. Generally, golfers with slower swing speeds require more-lofted drivers and more-flexible shafts to achieve the proper launch conditions. Conversely, golfers with faster swing speeds generally require lower-lofted drivers and firmer shafts. We recommend that you get fit for the shaft that allows you to play your best golf. PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.
PING colour-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip colour code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
